Dr. Haseeb Irfanullah is a biologist-turned-development facilitator and often introduces himself as a research enthusiast. Over the last two decades, Haseeb has worked for different international development organizations, academic institutions, donors, and the Government of Bangladesh in different capacities. Currently, he is an independent consultant on environment, climate change, and research systems. He is also involved with University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) as a visiting research fellow of its Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) in Dhaka. Haseeb's interest in research communication involves him with different organizations working on different aspects of research systems, where he designs & facilitates programmes and writes thought pieces for researchers, journal editors, and other scholarly publishing stakeholders to improve their understanding of academic publishing practices and standards and evolving areas. He is currently focusing his efforts on translating research into action for policy and practice influencing where he often links research and knowledge with biodiversity conservation, climate change, and sustainable development. Haseeb has a PhD in aquatic ecology from the University of Liverpool, UK.
