Bakar Ali Bakar

Bakar Ali Bakar is a Doctoral Student pursuing his PhD in Business Management program at the University Tun Abdul Razak, Malaysia, under the supervision of Prof. Gazi Nurul Islam. His research aims to explore the Marine tenure and livelihood of the Island community in Zanzibar, and his objective is to examine the current regulatory framework that deals with tenure rights and marine tenure and its impact on the marine resources and livelihoods of island residents in Zanzibar. He received a Master’s in Corporate Management at Mzumbe University Tanzania. He is currently working with the Ministry of Land and Housing Development in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
