E. Haripriya

I have been working in sustainable fisheries for over two years in Dakshin Foundation, India. My research focuses on understanding the socio-economic and ecological implications of reduction fisheries (fishmeal and fish oil sector) on small-scale fishers and coastal communities across the Indian coast, including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. Given the increasing uncertainty in fisheries catch and profits, my team and I also plan to conduct a holistic study to understand the occupational vulnerabilities among trawlers and small-scale fishers.
