Hena Chakraborty

Hena Chakraborty is a Master's student of Fisheries Science with a specialization in Aquaculture at the Vidyasagar University, West Bengal, India. Working under the guidance of her Institutional Director, Prof. Basanta Kr. Das, her research focuses on the Ganga region and its fishing industry, mainly on Hilsa Conservation. She completed her Bachelor’s in Industrial Fish and Fisheries from Asutosh College in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. She is currently working on the Hilsa project under the National Mission for Clean Ganga in Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute, Barrackpore under ICAR.
