Natasha Serrao

Natasha Serrao is a PhD student in Social and Ecological Sustainability at the University of Waterloo. She is pursuing her graduate degree under the supervision of Prof. Prateep Kumar Nayak, and her research involves combining fish genetics and fisher knowledge for viable small-scale fisheries. Her prior research primarily focused on conservation genetics (bats, fish, humans, and mustelids). She looks forward to developing a project that integrates natural and social sciences by focusing more on the human-biodiversity interactions.
