Raktima Ghosh is a PhD student at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. She is pursuing her graduate degree under the supervision of Prof. Jenia Mukherjee. She is also a Lecturer of Geography at the Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata, India. As a part of the “Dried Fish Matters” project, undertaken by University of Manitoba and funded by SSHRC (Canada), she is currently focusing on small-scale fisheries and dried fish research in the Indian Sundarbans. Her major research interests include political ecology, environmental governance, social ecological systems and human geography. She received her Master’s degree in Geography, specializing in Human Geography and Geomorphology.
