Reashan Ujjaman

Reashan Ujjaman is a postgraduate student currently engaged as a Research Assistant (RA) at Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh, in the Coastal and Marine Fisheries Department. His research interests encompass interdisciplinary topics related to the blue economy and climate change adaptation, combining social-ecological approaches and the perspectives of small-scale fisheries on coastal livelihoods and community-based governance of natural resources and commons.

For his master's thesis, he focused on assessing the effectiveness of alternative livelihood interventions in the Sundarbans mangrove fishing communities of Bangladesh. He is currently planning to pursue higher education to specialize in the field of fishers' livelihood effectiveness in the context of vulnerability to viability.
