Smit Pipaliya

Smit has a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and is currently pursuing a M.Tech in Infrastructure Design and Management at Ranbir and Chitra Gupta School of Infrastructure Design and Management, IIT Kharagpur. His research interests lie in the role of transportation in supply chain management, infrastructure planning and financing, and environmental management. Smit's participation in V2V’s Kolleru Lake Community Camp has prompted him to explore the social, economic and climatic-ecological realities of South Asian fisheries while shaping his ideas around SES, co-management, and transdisciplinarity. In connection to V2V, he is specifically motivated to explore the complexities and potentialities around embankment management in vulnerable deltaic regions through the application of geospatial mapping, Infrastructural planning techniques and co-management.
