Soumi Bandyopadhyay

Soumi Bandyopadhyay has successfully completed her M.Phil., specializing in Ecological Memory, and now contributes her expertise to Project AQUAMUSE at IIT Kharagpur. Her research interests span an interdisciplinary terrain—Memory Studies, Ecocriticism, Eco-Memoir, Island Studies, Queer Ecologies, Revenant Ecology, Eco-Psychology, and Water Politics—each reflecting her deep engagement with the entwined narratives of environment, identity, and transformation.
Recently, she had the privilege of joining the Sundarban Winter Field School with the V2V team, an experience that proved profoundly enriching. The team’s humility and depth of knowledge left an indelible mark on her, opening new avenues of thought and learning. With immense admiration for their work, she looks forward to future collaborations.
